Possible Causes
Recent power outage or voltage drop, loose power cord connection, tripped breaker, improper wiring at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If you suspect wiring issues, turn off power at the breaker before inspecting the rear terminal block.
Steps to clear:
- Reset clock: Press Clear/Off or Clock and set the time. PF should clear and normal operation resume.
- Check power supply: Ensure the range's breaker is fully ON and not partially tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Terminal block inspection: Pull the range out carefully, remove the rear cover over the power cord terminal block, and inspect for loose screws or burned wires. Tighten connections and replace any damaged parts.
- Monitor: If PF appears frequently without known outages, have an electrician check the household circuit for voltage drops or loose connections.
Note: PF itself is not a component failure code; it indicates an interruption in power.
