Control knobs on range are hard to turn or feel loose

Safety first: Turn off gas supply for gas ranges before working near valves.

• Remove knobs: Pull the knobs straight off the shafts.
• Clean stems: Wipe valve stems with a cloth lightly dampened with mild detergent. Do not flood with liquid.
• Inspect knobs: Check for cracks in the plastic hub. Replace any damaged knobs with OEM Ikea parts.
• Valve wear: If knobs remain loose or stiff, the gas valves may be worn and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
