Possible Causes
Failed NTC temperature sensor on power module, Loose sensor connection, Damaged sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and wait several minutes for capacitors to discharge.
- Access module: Remove the cooktop from the counter and take off the bottom cover to expose the power module and attached sensors.
- Locate sensor: Identify the small thermistor (NTC) attached to the heat sink or coil bracket. Ensure it is firmly clipped in place and the wires are intact.
- Check connection: Reseat the sensor connector on the power board. Inspect for corrosion or broken pins.
- Replace sensor or module: If the sensor is physically damaged or tests open/shorted with a multimeter, replace it if available as a separate part. Otherwise, replace the entire power module.
