Possible Causes
Loose keypad ribbon cable, Failed touch control panel, Defective electronic oven control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before opening the control console.
- Access console: Remove the rear cover of the control panel area (typically several screws). Carefully pull the panel forward.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon cable from the touch keypad to the control board. Gently unlock the connector, remove the ribbon, inspect for cracks or corrosion, then reinsert fully and lock.
- Check for damage: Inspect the keypad glass or plastic front for cracks or signs of liquid intrusion. If the keypad is physically damaged or unresponsive, replace the entire touch control panel assembly.
- Replace control board: If reseating does not clear the error and the keypad tests good, replace the electronic oven control board, transferring each wire one by one to avoid miswiring.
