Gas cooktop burner ignites but flame is weak, yellow, or uneven

• Clean burner head: Remove the burner cap and head. Soak in warm soapy water, then use a soft brush to clean all ports. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Check cap alignment: Reinstall the burner head and cap, ensuring they sit flat and centered.
• Verify gas type: Confirm the cooktop is configured for your gas type (natural gas vs LPG) and that the correct Ikea/Whirlpool conversion kit has been installed if converted.
• Air shutter adjustment: Some models have adjustable air shutters on the burner tubes. A yellow, lazy flame may indicate insufficient air. Adjust per service manual, or have a technician perform this.
