Possible Causes

Line voltage above specification, Loose or overheated power terminal block, Faulty power filter board, Defective induction control board sensing circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Switch off power at the breaker before opening any panels. High voltage is present.

  • Power reset: Turn off the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore power. If E5 appears immediately, continue.
  • Check supply voltage: Have a qualified person measure the line voltage at the terminal block. Compare with Ilve specifications (often 220–240 V). Persistent overvoltage should be addressed by an electrician.
  • Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear or bottom cover to access the main power terminal block. Look for signs of overheating, melted insulation, or loose screws. Tighten connections and replace any burned components.
  • Filter board inspection: If your model has a separate power filter/EMI board, inspect for burned components or cracked solder joints. Replace if damaged.
  • Control board: If supply and connections are correct but E5 persists, the induction control/power module may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
