Possible Causes
Stuck keypad button on control fascia, Moisture or cleaning fluid inside control panel, Failed electronic oven control (EOC), Damaged ribbon cable between keypad and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Keypad test: With power on, press each button individually to see if any are unresponsive or trigger F1 immediately. A stuck key can cause F1.
- Drying: If F1 appeared after cleaning, turn off power and allow the control panel to dry for 24 hours. Avoid spraying cleaners directly on the panel; spray a cloth instead.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel trim to access the keypad ribbon cable. Reseat the cable at the control board and inspect for cracks or corrosion.
- Control replacement: If the keypad and cable appear fine but F1 persists, the EOC is likely faulty and should be replaced with the correct Ilve part. Transfer any programming jumpers as per service instructions.
