Possible Causes
Shorted NTC sensor, Sensor wires pinched to chassis, Moisture inside sensor connector, Failed EOC reading low resistance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before testing.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Remove rear panel and check that sensor wires are not crushed against metal or melted on the oven cavity.
- Resistance test: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance. A very low reading (near 0 Ω) indicates a shorted sensor. Replace it.
- Connector check: Dry any moisture in the connector and ensure pins are not bridged by debris.
- Control board: If a known-good sensor still results in F4, the EOC may be misreading the sensor and should be replaced.
