Possible Causes
Failed oven cooling fan motor, Blocked fan blades, Faulty fan speed sensor or tachometer (if equipped), Defective fan relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before working near the fan.
- Listen for fan: When the oven is started, you should hear the cooling fan after a short delay. If silent or excessively loud, inspect it.
- Access fan: Remove the top or rear panel to reach the cooling fan assembly above or behind the oven cavity.
- Mechanical check: Spin the fan by hand. If stiff or noisy, replace the fan motor.
- Electrical test: With power off, test the fan motor for continuity. If open, replace. Check wiring and connectors for heat damage.
- Control board: If the fan is good but never receives power, the fan relay or driver on the EOC may be faulty and require board replacement.
