Possible Causes

Blown fuse or no power to ignition circuit, Failed spark module (ignition transformer), Disconnected igniter wiring harness, Faulty burner control knob switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off gas supply at the shutoff valve and disconnect power before servicing. Avoid open flames.

  • Check power: Verify the range is plugged in and the outlet has power. The igniters require electricity even on gas models.
  • Listen for any clicks: Turn each burner knob to the ignite position. If none click, the spark module or power feed is suspect.
  • Inspect wiring: Remove the rear or side panels to access the spark module. Ensure the module is securely mounted and all wires are connected.
  • Test knob switches: Each burner valve has a small switch that closes in the ignite position. Check for loose or broken switch wires. Replace faulty switches.
  • Replace spark module: If switches have power but no output to igniters, replace the Ilve spark module with the correct part.
