How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the rear of the oven.
- Mode selection: Ensure a convection mode is actually selected (fan symbol) and not standard bake.
- Listen for fan: During operation, you should hear the fan. If silent, proceed to inspection.
- Access fan: Remove the rear panel of the range or the internal fan cover inside the oven (depending on design) to reach the fan motor.
- Mechanical check: Spin the fan blade by hand. If stiff or seized, replace the motor.
- Electrical test: Test the motor windings for continuity. If open, replace. Check wiring and connectors for damage.
