Possible Causes
Failed cooling fan motor, Blocked cooling air vents, Faulty overheat thermostat (safety thermostat), Wiring fault between thermostat and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and allow the appliance to cool fully before working near the fan or thermostats.
Steps:
- 1. Check ventilation: Ensure the cooker has adequate clearance around it and that front and rear ventilation slots are not blocked by cabinets or foil.
- 2. Inspect cooling fan: Remove the top cover to access the cooling fan motor. Spin the fan blades by hand; they should move freely. If seized or noisy, replace the fan motor.
- 3. Test safety thermostat: Locate the cavity overheat thermostat (usually clipped to the top of the oven cavity). With power off, test for continuity. An open thermostat will prevent heating and may trigger F10. Replace if open and not resettable.
- 4. Wiring check: Verify continuity of wires between the thermostat, cooling fan, and control board. Repair any burnt or broken wires.
- 5. Reset and test: After replacing faulty parts, restore power and run a low-temperature cycle to confirm normal operation.
