Possible Causes
Failed grill cavity sensor, Loose sensor connector on control board, Damaged sensor wiring from upper cavity, Shorted sensor due to heat damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate from mains before removing any panels.
Steps:
- 1. Identify which cavity: On double Indesit ovens, F11 often refers to the top/grill cavity sensor. Check the user manual if available.
- 2. Locate sensor: Find the small probe in the affected cavity and trace its wiring to the rear of the appliance.
- 3. Test sensor: Disconnect and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare with the known value for Indesit sensors (typically around 1 kΩ at 20°C). Replace if open, shorted, or far out of range.
- 4. Check connectors: Reseat the sensor plug on the control board and inspect for heat damage.
- 5. Replace sensor: Unscrew and swap with a genuine Indesit sensor, routing the cable away from hot surfaces.
