Possible Causes
Loose harness between display PCB and oven control board, Damaged communication tracks on PCB, Moisture ingress into control panel, Failed display PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the control panel.
Steps:
- 1. Remove control panel trim: Access the display PCB and the main oven control board.
- 2. Inspect harness: Check the multi-core harness or ribbon cable linking the two boards. Look for cuts, pinches, or signs of overheating. Reseat both ends.
- 3. Dry moisture: If the panel has been exposed to steam or cleaning fluids, allow it to dry thoroughly. Use a hairdryer on a low, cool setting at a distance if needed.
- 4. Board inspection: Look for cracked solder joints at the connector pins. If you see obvious damage, the display PCB may need replacement.
- 5. Replace faulty board: If reseating cables does not clear F12, replace the display PCB or main control board as indicated by visual inspection or service diagnostics.
