Possible Causes

Failed induction/ceramic power board, Overheated IGBT or power transistor, Blown internal fuse on hob module, Poor connection between hob glass-top and power module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Induction and ceramic hob modules contain high voltages and large capacitors. Disconnect from mains and wait several minutes for capacitors to discharge.

Steps:

  • 1. Confirm the faulted zone: Note which cooking zones show F14 or fail to heat.
  • 2. Access hob electronics: Remove the hob from the worktop or open the cooker top to expose the hob power module.
  • 3. Visual inspection: Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or blown fuses on the power board associated with the faulty zone.
  • 4. Check connectors: Reseat the connectors between the touch control board and the power module, and between the module and the mains input.
  • 5. Replace power module: If there is clear damage or F14 persists, replace the entire hob power module for that side/zone. Board-level repair is not recommended for non-professionals.
