Possible Causes
Loose connection between touch control and power board, Failed user interface board, Failed power control board, Software glitch after power interruption
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing any panels.
- Power reset: Turn the breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then back ON. If E0 clears, monitor for recurrence.
- Inspect harness: On Insignia electric cooktops, remove the mounting screws and lower the unit to access the underside. Check the harness between the touch control (glass top) and the power board. Reseat all connectors.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of liquid intrusion around the touch controls. Dry thoroughly before restoring power.
- Board replacement: If E0 persists, replace the user interface board first. If still present, replace the power control board.
