Electronic control beeps continuously, display shows F1 and oven functions are disabled or shut off shortly after starting.

Safety first: Turn the range OFF and switch the circuit breaker to the OFF position before removing any panels. Do not work on live circuits.

• Power reset: Turn the breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then turn it back ON. If F1 clears and does not return, it may have been a transient logic error.
• Check for moisture or spills: Inspect the control panel area on your Insignia range for signs of liquid spills or steam damage. If wet, leave power OFF and allow it to dry for several hours before restoring power.
• Inspect keypad ribbon cable: With power OFF, remove the back panel behind the control console. Locate the flat ribbon cable from the touchpad to the electronic oven control (EOC). Reseat the connector firmly and ensure there is no corrosion or damage.
• Test keypad: If certain keys are stuck or unresponsive, the touchpad membrane is likely shorted. The keypad is often integrated with the front control panel on Insignia ranges; if defective, replace the entire control panel/touchpad assembly.
• Replace EOC if needed: If F1 persists after reseating the ribbon and drying the panel, the EOC (main oven control board) is likely faulty and should be replaced. Label and transfer each wire one at a time to the new board.
