Possible Causes
Shorted oven temperature sensor, Stuck bake or broil relay on EOC, Shorted sensor harness, Faulty EOC temperature circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately turn off the oven and shut off power at the breaker. Do not use the oven until the fault is corrected.
- Check oven sensor: With power OFF, remove and test the oven temperature sensor. At room temperature it should read about 1080–1100 Ω. Replace if shorted or significantly out of range.
- Inspect harness: Trace the sensor wires from the oven cavity to the EOC. Look for melted insulation or shorts to the metal chassis. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
- Control relay check: If the oven continues to heat even when OFF, the bake or broil relay on the EOC is likely welded closed. Replace the EOC board.
- Test after repair: After replacing the sensor or EOC, run a 350°F bake cycle and monitor temperature with an oven thermometer. If temperature stabilizes and F10 does not return, the issue is resolved.
