Possible Causes
Shorted touchpad, Liquid intrusion into control panel, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Failed keypad interface on EOC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control console.
- Dry the panel: If F11 appeared after cleaning, leave the range powered off for several hours to allow moisture to evaporate from the keypad area.
- Inspect keypad cable: Remove the rear console cover and disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC. Inspect for corrosion or physical damage. Clean contacts with isopropyl alcohol and reconnect.
- Isolate keypad vs. EOC: With the keypad disconnected, restore power. If F11 disappears, the keypad/control panel assembly is defective and should be replaced. If F11 persists, the EOC is faulty.
- Replace faulty component: Replace the control panel/touchpad assembly or EOC as indicated by the isolation test. Transfer all wiring carefully.
