Possible Causes
Loose harness between user interface board and main EOC, Failed display board, Failed main control board, Power surge damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing internal components.
- Power reset: Turn the breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then back ON. If F12 clears and does not return, it may have been a transient communication error.
- Inspect harness connections: Remove the rear console cover. Locate the wiring harness between the display/user interface board and the main EOC. Reseat all connectors firmly and check for bent pins or corrosion.
- Check for board damage: Look for burn marks, cracked solder joints, or swollen components on both boards. Any visible damage indicates replacement is needed.
- Board substitution: If available, replace the main EOC first (most common failure). If F12 persists, replace the display/user interface board.
