Possible Causes
Defective oven temperature sensor, Poor sensor connection at EOC, Damaged sensor harness, Incorrect replacement sensor installed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before testing or replacing components.
- Verify correct sensor: Ensure any previously replaced sensor is the correct Insignia-compatible part number for your model.
- Test sensor resistance: Remove the sensor from the oven cavity and measure resistance at room temperature (about 1080–1100 Ω). Compare to manufacturer specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Inspect connectors: Check both ends of the sensor harness (at the sensor and at the EOC) for loose or corroded terminals. Clean and reseat.
- Check harness continuity: With the sensor disconnected, test continuity of each wire from the sensor plug to the EOC plug. Repair or replace the harness if open or high resistance.
- Replace EOC if needed: If sensor and wiring are correct and F30 persists, the EOC sensor circuit may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
