Gas burner lights but flame is weak, uneven, or goes out at low settings.

Safety first: Turn off all burners and shut off gas at the supply valve before removing burner parts. Do not modify gas components unless you are qualified.

• Clean burner: Remove burner cap and head. Clean all ports with a brush and toothpick. Ensure the cap sits flat and centered when reinstalled.
• Check gas type conversion: Verify that your Insignia range has been properly converted for LP if applicable (correct orifices installed and regulator converted). This should be done by a qualified technician.
• Observe flame color: A proper flame is mostly blue with small yellow tips. Large yellow flames indicate too much gas or not enough air; very small or lifting flames indicate low pressure or too much air. Adjustments to air shutters or regulator should be done by a professional.
• Check supply pressure: If multiple appliances show weak flames, contact your gas supplier to check pressure.
