JennAir range displays F1-1 and beeps continuously; oven functions disabled

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels. High voltage is present even when the oven is off.

• Power reset: Turn the range breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then back ON. If F1-1 returns within a few minutes, the control is likely faulty.
• Check for stuck keypad: If your JennAir has a separate glass touch panel, press each key to see if any are unresponsive or stuck. A stuck key can trigger F1-1.
• Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the back panel behind the control. Locate the flat ribbon cable from the touchpad to the electronic oven control (EOC). Reseat the connector: unplug, inspect for corrosion or burns, and plug back in firmly.
• Isolate keypad vs. control: If possible, disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC, restore power, and see if F1-1 appears with the keypad disconnected. If the code appears with the keypad unplugged, the EOC is bad. If it does not, the keypad/touch panel is bad.
• Replace failed part: If testing points to the EOC, remove mounting screws, transfer wires one at a time to the new JennAir-compatible control board, and reinstall. If the keypad is faulty, remove the front panel, release the touch membrane or glass panel clips, and install the new touchpad assembly.
