Possible Causes
Failed keypad interface circuit on control board, Damaged control board from surge, Corrupted control firmware
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power at the breaker.
- Power cycle: Turn power off for 10 minutes, then restore. If F7-2 returns immediately, the control board is likely faulty.
- Check keypad ribbon: Inspect and reseat the keypad ribbon cable. A poor connection can mimic a control failure.
- Isolate keypad: If possible, disconnect the keypad and power up. If F7-2 still appears with the keypad disconnected, the control board is defective.
- Replace control board: Remove the mounting screws, label and transfer each wire to the new JennAir-compatible electronic oven control, and reinstall.
