Possible Causes
Open cooling fan motor, Fan wiring harness failure, Blocked cooling air path, Failed control board fan relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool.
- Vent inspection: Verify that the top and rear vents are clear of obstructions and that insulation is not blocking airflow inside the unit.
- Check fan wiring: Access the cooling fan and inspect the wiring harness for loose connectors or burned wires. Repair or reconnect as needed.
- Test fan motor: Use a multimeter to check for continuity across the fan motor terminals. An open reading indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Replace fan or control: If the motor is open, install a new JennAir-compatible cooling fan. If the motor is good but never receives power, the control board fan relay may be defective and require replacement.
