Possible Causes
Weak oven igniter, Clogged burner ports, Incorrect gas pressure, Failed gas safety valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: If you smell strong gas, turn off the oven and gas supply immediately, ventilate the area, and do not use electrical switches or open flames. If the smell persists, contact your gas supplier or fire department.
- Check igniter operation: After airing out and with gas restored, observe the igniter. If it glows for a long time before ignition or never lights the burner, replace the igniter.
- Clean burner: Remove the oven bottom and burner assembly. Clean burner ports with a brush to ensure even gas flow.
- Professional service: If a new igniter does not resolve the issue, the gas valve or gas pressure may be incorrect. Have a qualified technician test and adjust or replace the gas valve.
