JennAir
Temperature Regulation / Sensor or Element Degradation
JennAir oven takes excessively long to preheat or never reaches set temperature (no error code)

Possible Causes
Weak bake element, Faulty oven temperature sensor, Poor door gasket seal, Incorrect oven calibration in control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before testing components.
- Check both elements: During preheat, both bake and broil elements may cycle. Verify both glow red. Replace any element that does not heat evenly.
- Test sensor: Measure oven sensor resistance at room temperature (about 1050–1100 ohms). Replace if out of range.
- Inspect door gasket: Check the oven door gasket for gaps, tears, or flattening. Replace if it does not seal tightly all around.
- Calibrate oven: Many JennAir controls allow temperature calibration (offset). Refer to the user manual to adjust the oven temperature up or down by up to ±30°F if actual temperature differs from setpoint.
