Possible Causes
Tripped breaker, Blown internal fuse, Loose power cord or terminal block connection, Failed electronic control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing panels.
- Check breaker and outlet:
- Verify the range breaker is ON and not tripped.
- For corded ranges, test the outlet voltage with a meter (240V for electric ranges).
- Inspect terminal block:
- Pull the range out and remove the rear cover at the power cord connection.
- Check for burnt wires or loose screws at the terminal block.
- Replace a damaged terminal block or power cord as needed.
- Internal fuse:
- Some Kenmore models have an internal line fuse on the control board.
- With power off, check the fuse for continuity and replace with the exact type if blown.
- Control board:
- If power is present at the control but it remains dead, replace the electronic oven control (EOC) or user interface board as applicable.
