How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing any panels.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore. If F11 returns immediately, suspect keypad or control.
- Check for stuck keys:
- Press each button on the control panel firmly several times.
- Look for any key that feels different, sticks, or does not click.
- Inspect keypad ribbon cable:
- Remove the back cover behind the control panel.
- Locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board.
- Disconnect and inspect for corrosion, burns, or cracks.
- Clean contacts gently with isopropyl alcohol and reseat firmly.
- Isolate keypad vs. control:
- On many Kenmore models, you can disconnect the keypad ribbon and restore power.
- If F11 stops with keypad disconnected, replace the touchpad / keypad assembly.
- If F11 persists with keypad disconnected, replace the electronic oven control (EOC).
- Reassemble and test: After replacing the faulty part, restore power and verify all keys respond and no F11 appears.
