F9 displayed, oven may not start or may shut off, sometimes associated with door lock issues

Safety first: Disconnect power before servicing. Allow oven to cool if recently used.

• Check door latch:
  • Inspect the latch hook and strike for damage or misalignment.
  • Ensure the door closes fully and engages the latch.
• Access lock assembly:
  • Remove top or rear panel to reach the door lock motor and switches.
  • Inspect for broken parts or loose wiring.
• Test switches:
  • Use a multimeter to test continuity of lock/unlock switches as you manually move the latch.
  • Replace the door lock assembly if switches fail.
• Control board:
  • If lock assembly and wiring are good, the EOC may be misreading lock status.
  • Replace the electronic oven control (EOC) if F9 persists.
