Possible Causes
Lock motor running too long, Faulty lock position switch not signaling stop, Binding latch mechanism, Control board timing error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Check for mechanical binding:
- Access the door lock assembly from the top or rear.
- Manually move the latch to feel for rough spots or sticking.
- Clean and lightly lubricate pivot points with high-temp lubricant if needed.
- Inspect switches:
- Test lock/unlock position switches with a multimeter.
- Replace the switch or entire lock assembly if switches do not change state reliably.
- Motor test:
- Measure motor resistance; replace if out of spec.
- Control board:
- If mechanical parts and switches are good, the EOC may be mis-timing the lock motor.
- Replace the electronic oven control (EOC) if F95 persists after lock assembly replacement.
