Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Only a qualified person should work on mains wiring. Turn off the main breaker before opening the terminal box.
- Verify wiring: Remove the cooktop from the countertop enough to access the connection box. Compare the wiring to the Kuppersbusch installation diagram (single-phase or multi-phase as applicable).
- Check terminal tightness: Inspect the terminal block for loose screws, discoloration, or melted plastic. Tighten connections to the specified torque.
- Measure voltage: With a multimeter and appropriate safety precautions, measure line-to-line and line-to-neutral voltages. Confirm they are within the specified range (typically 220–240 V per phase).
- Neutral integrity: Ensure the neutral conductor is present and properly connected where required; a missing neutral can trigger E2.
- Internal fault: If supply is correct and wiring is sound, the internal low-voltage power supply on the control or power module may be defective. Replace the induction power/control module as per service documentation.
Warning: Incorrect wiring can damage the appliance and pose a shock hazard. If unsure, contact a licensed electrician.
