Induction cooktop displays E4 on one or more zones; zone will not heat.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Induction modules contain high-voltage capacitors. Disconnect power and wait several minutes for capacitors to discharge before opening the unit.
- Identify affected zone: Note which cooking zone shows E4 and trace its wiring to the corresponding power module.
- Visual inspection: Remove the bottom cover and inspect the power module for burnt components, cracked IGBTs, or blown tracks.
- Check internal fuses: Some modules have replaceable fuses; test continuity and replace only with identical rated fuses if blown. Investigate cause of failure before re-energizing.
- Module replacement: In most cases, the entire induction power module for that zone must be replaced, as component-level repair is not supported by the manufacturer.
- Reassembly and test: Refit all covers, restore power, and test the affected zone at low power first, then gradually increase.
Note: If multiple zones on the same side fail with E4, the shared power module is likely defective.
