Clean burner: Remove burner cap and head; clean all ports and surfaces to remove grease and debris.
Check cap placement: Ensure the cap is correctly seated; misalignment can distort the flame.
Gas type verification: Confirm that the cooktop is configured for the correct gas (natural gas vs LPG) and that the proper injectors are installed.
Air shutter: Some models have adjustable air shutters on the burner venturi. Adjust slightly to achieve a stable blue flame without lifting.
Professional pressure check: If flames remain abnormal, have a technician measure and adjust gas pressure and verify injector sizing.

Note: Persistent yellow flames can produce soot and carbon monoxide; do not ignore this symptom.
