Gas burners on the cooktop will not ignite; no clicking sound from igniters.

Safety first: Turn off gas supply at the shutoff valve and disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components. Beware of gas leaks.

• Check power: Verify that the cooktop is plugged in and that the outlet has power.
• Listen for spark: Turn a burner knob to the ignition position. If there is no clicking on any burner, the spark generator or its supply is suspect.
• Access spark module: Remove the cooktop from the counter and open the underside to locate the spark generator unit.
• Inspect wiring: Check that the live and neutral wires are firmly connected to the spark module and that the high-voltage leads to each igniter are intact.
• Switch test: Test the ignition switches on the burner valves for continuity when turned to ignite. Replace any faulty ignition switch.
• Replace spark generator: If power and switches are good but no spark is produced, replace the spark generator module.

Leak check: After reassembly, turn gas back on and check all connections with a soapy water solution for bubbles indicating leaks.
