Possible Causes
Burnt-out oven bulb, corroded lamp holder contacts, faulty oven light switch or relay, broken lamp glass cover
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power before changing the bulb to avoid electric shock and burns.
- Replace bulb: Unscrew or unclip the glass cover over the oven lamp. Replace the bulb with a high-temperature oven-rated bulb of the correct wattage and base type.
- Inspect holder: Check the lamp holder for corrosion or heat damage. Clean contacts gently if corroded.
- Test operation: Restore power and test the light. If it still does not work, the light switch or control relay may be faulty.
- Further diagnosis: On electronic models, test for voltage at the lamp holder when the light is commanded on. If no voltage, the control board or light switch may need replacement.
Tip: Do not exceed the specified bulb wattage; higher wattage can overheat the lamp housing.
