How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and verify the grill element is cool before touching.
- Visual inspection: Look for visible breaks, blisters, or hot spots on the grill element.
- Continuity test: Access the rear of the oven and disconnect the grill element terminals. Measure resistance; an open circuit indicates failure.
- Terminal check: Tighten or replace any overheated spade connectors.
- Control path: If the element is good, test the grill function on the selector switch and the grill relay on the control board for continuity and operation.
- Replace element: Fit a new grill (broil) element if defective.
