Possible Causes
Incorrect key sequence on touch controls, Software glitch in control board, Stuck or unresponsive key, Power supply noise or brownout
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure burners and oven are off before resetting controls.
- Clear input: Press the Cancel or Stop key to clear the current program. Wait a few seconds and re‑enter the desired settings following the sequence in the La Cornue user manual.
- Power cycle: Turn the circuit breaker OFF for 2–3 minutes, then back ON to reset the control logic.
- Check keypad response: Test each key. If one area of the touch panel does not respond or triggers 'Err' repeatedly, the keypad membrane may be failing.
- Stabilize power: If the error appears after lights dim or during heavy household load, have an electrician check the supply voltage and connections to the range.
- Replace control if persistent: If 'Err' persists with correct operation and stable power, the electronic control board may need replacement.
