- Inspect latch mechanism: Remove the top trim or rear panel (depending on model) to access the door lock motor and latch. Look for bent linkage, broken plastic parts, or obstructions.
- Test door switch: Locate the door switch (often behind the front frame). With power OFF, test continuity with the door open and closed. Replace if readings do not change as expected.
- Check lock motor: With the harness disconnected, measure resistance of the lock motor coil. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the door lock assembly with the correct La Cornue part.
- Reset and test: After repairs, restore power and run a short bake cycle, then (if equipped) a self‑clean lock/unlock cycle to confirm proper operation and that F5 does not reappear.
