Possible Causes
Child lock feature activated, Stuck lock button, Control board not exiting lock mode after power interruption
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Verify all burners and oven elements are off before changing lock settings.
- Unlock sequence: Press and hold the designated Lock or Key symbol button for 3–5 seconds (refer to your La Cornue manual). Some models require holding two keys simultaneously.
- Power reset: If the panel will not unlock, turn the breaker OFF for 1 minute, then ON, and immediately attempt the unlock sequence again.
- Check for stuck key: If the lock button feels stuck or does not click, clean around it and gently free it. If still stuck, the keypad assembly may need replacement.
- Confirm operation: Once unlocked, test all keys and verify that 'LOC' no longer appears.
