Possible Causes
Household power outage or breaker trip, Loose electrical connections at terminal block, Undersized or shared circuit, Faulty main power relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Before opening any electrical covers, turn off power at the breaker. Only qualified persons should work inside the electrical junction box.
- Clear code: Press Cancel or Clear to remove the PF message and reset the clock.
- Check home power: Verify the dedicated circuit breaker is fully ON and not weak or hot to the touch. Replace a suspect breaker via a licensed electrician.
- Inspect terminal block: With power OFF, remove the rear cover to access the range terminal block. Tighten all lugs securing the supply wires and ground. Look for heat discoloration or melted insulation; replace damaged parts.
- Dedicated circuit: Ensure the range is on its own correctly sized circuit as specified by La Cornue. Avoid sharing with other high‑load appliances.
- Control board: If PF appears frequently without actual outages and wiring is sound, the main relay or power supply section of the EOC may be failing and require replacement.
