Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Obstruction preventing fan rotation, Faulty convection selector switch or relay, Broken wiring to fan motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool completely before accessing the fan.
- Listen for fan: In convection mode, you should hear the fan running. If not, proceed to inspection.
- Inspect fan blade: Remove the rear interior panel of the oven to access the fan. Check for food debris or warped panels rubbing the blade.
- Spin test: Gently spin the fan by hand; it should move freely. If seized or rough, replace the fan motor assembly.
- Electrical test: With power OFF, test the fan motor for continuity. If open, replace. If motor is good, the control relay or wiring may be faulty and require service.
