Possible Causes
Undersized circuit breaker or wiring, Shorted heating element, Damaged power cord or terminal block, Internal short in control or induction module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Turn off power and investigate the cause. Only qualified persons should work on electrical circuits.
- Check load vs circuit: Confirm the range is on a dedicated circuit of the correct amperage as specified by La Cornue.
- Inspect terminal block and cord: With power OFF, remove the rear cover and inspect for burnt wires or loose connections. Repair or replace damaged components.
- Test elements: Disconnect and test oven and cooktop elements for shorts to ground with a multimeter. Replace any element that shows continuity to chassis.
- Module inspection: If elements and wiring are good, an internal short in a control or induction module may be present and will require replacement.
