Possible Causes
Open-circuit fan oven element, burnt element terminals, loose wiring to fan element, failed fan-oven relay on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the cooker isolator and verify no power is present.
Inspect the fan oven element:
- Remove the oven shelves and the rear inner panel of the fan oven cavity to expose the fan oven element (ring element around the fan).
- Look for visible damage: bulging, cracks, or burn marks on the element.
- From the rear of the cooker, remove the back cover to access the element terminals. Check for loose or burnt connectors.
- Disconnect the element and test it with a multimeter. A healthy element typically reads between 20–60 Ω. An open circuit indicates a failed element.
- If faulty, replace with the correct Leisure fan oven element for your model, ensuring all terminals are tight and insulated.
- If the element tests good, trace the wiring back to the main control PCB and check for continuity. If wiring is intact, the PCB relay may be defective and require replacement.
Tip: Always support the cooker properly if you need to pull it out from cabinetry to access the rear panel.
