Immediate actions:

Turn off all zones and allow the hob to cool for at least 20–30 minutes.
Check that the ventilation slots around the hob are not blocked by pans, cloths, or cabinetry.

Installation and component checks:

Verify that the hob has been installed with the correct ventilation clearances as per the Leisure installation manual (space beneath and around the hob).
Isolate power and remove the hob from the worktop if necessary to inspect the underside.
Locate the cooling fan and check that it spins freely and is not obstructed by debris.
Reconnect power briefly and start a low-power zone while observing (from a safe distance) whether the cooling fan runs. If it does not, replace the hob cooling fan.
If the fan runs but E08 persists, the induction power module may be overheating internally and require replacement.

Note: Persistent overtemperature errors after ensuring proper ventilation should be investigated by a qualified technician.
