Possible Causes
Blocked cooling vents, failed hob cooling fan, overheating induction power module, poor installation with inadequate ventilation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Immediate actions:
- Turn off all zones and allow the hob to cool for at least 20–30 minutes.
- Check that the ventilation slots around the hob are not blocked by pans, cloths, or cabinetry.
Installation and component checks:
- Verify that the hob has been installed with the correct ventilation clearances as per the Leisure installation manual (space beneath and around the hob).
- Isolate power and remove the hob from the worktop if necessary to inspect the underside.
- Locate the cooling fan and check that it spins freely and is not obstructed by debris.
- Reconnect power briefly and start a low-power zone while observing (from a safe distance) whether the cooling fan runs. If it does not, replace the hob cooling fan.
- If the fan runs but E08 persists, the induction power module may be overheating internally and require replacement.
Note: Persistent overtemperature errors after ensuring proper ventilation should be investigated by a qualified technician.
