Possible Causes

Burnt relay contacts on main PCB, failed triac controlling oven elements, damaged PCB tracks due to overheating, shorted heating element causing board damage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the cooker from mains power before accessing the control panel or rear panels.

Inspection steps:

  • Remove the control panel fascia to access the main control PCB.
  • Look for burnt or discoloured areas around the large relays or triacs that switch the oven elements.
  • Check for cracked solder joints on relay pins and repair if minor and safe to do so.
  • Inspect all oven elements for shorts to earth using a megohmmeter or insulation tester. A shorted element can cause relay or triac failure.
  • If the PCB is visibly damaged or relays are not operating, replace the main control PCB. Replace any shorted elements at the same time.

Note: Component-level repair of PCBs is generally not recommended for domestic users; replacing the complete board is safer and more reliable.
