Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the cooker from mains power before accessing the control panel or rear panels.
Inspection steps:
- Remove the control panel fascia to access the main control PCB.
- Look for burnt or discoloured areas around the large relays or triacs that switch the oven elements.
- Check for cracked solder joints on relay pins and repair if minor and safe to do so.
- Inspect all oven elements for shorts to earth using a megohmmeter or insulation tester. A shorted element can cause relay or triac failure.
- If the PCB is visibly damaged or relays are not operating, replace the main control PCB. Replace any shorted elements at the same time.
Note: Component-level repair of PCBs is generally not recommended for domestic users; replacing the complete board is safer and more reliable.
