Possible Causes

Failed oven lamp holder, heat-damaged lamp wiring, faulty door switch (if fitted), blown lamp circuit fuse on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the isolator before changing bulbs or accessing lamp holders.

Steps:

  • Confirm that the replacement bulb is the correct high-temperature oven lamp type and wattage specified by Leisure.
  • Remove the glass lamp cover inside the oven and inspect the lamp holder for signs of burning or corrosion.
  • Test for voltage at the lamp holder terminals when the oven light should be on (requires power and should be done by a competent person). If voltage is present but the lamp does not light, replace the lamp holder.
  • If no voltage is present, trace the wiring back to the door switch (if used) and the main control PCB. Check for continuity and loose connectors.
  • On some models, a small fuse or track on the PCB protects the lamp circuit; if blown, the PCB may need repair or replacement.

Tip: Always refit the glass lamp cover before using the oven to protect the bulb from splashes and heat shock.
