How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: If flames are very large, sooty, or you smell gas, turn off the hob and gas supply and ventilate the room.

Checks:

Remove the burner cap and head and clean all ports with a soft brush; do not use sharp objects that can enlarge holes.
Ensure the burner parts are dry and correctly reassembled.
Confirm that the cooker is set up for the correct gas type (natural gas vs LPG) and that the correct injectors are fitted (this is a job for a gas engineer).
Have a qualified engineer check the gas pressure regulator and supply pressure.
