Possible Causes
Dry or worn fan motor bearings, loose fan blade, food debris caught in fan, bent fan blade rubbing on shroud
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before removing panels.
Steps:
- Remove the oven shelves and the rear inner panel to expose the fan and element.
- Check for loose screws or debris around the fan. Remove any obstructions.
- Gently wiggle the fan blade; excessive play indicates worn motor bearings. Tighten the fan fixing nut if loose.
- Spin the fan by hand; if it feels rough or noisy, replace the fan motor (and fan blade if damaged).
- Reassemble and test. Persistent noise after cleaning usually means the motor needs replacement.
