Possible Causes
Aged oven thermostat, drifted NTC temperature sensor, poor airflow due to blocked vents, incorrect shelf position usage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Verification:
- Place an oven thermometer in the centre of the oven and preheat to a known temperature (e.g. 180°C). Compare the actual temperature to the set value.
- Repeat at several settings to confirm consistent offset.
Corrections:
- Some Leisure models allow electronic calibration via the control panel; refer to the service manual to adjust offset if available.
- If mechanical thermostat: replace the oven thermostat if readings are significantly off.
- If sensor-based: replace the oven temperature sensor (NTC) if it reads out of specification at known temperatures.
- Ensure air vents inside the oven are not blocked by foil or trays, and use recommended shelf positions for even cooking.
